About Partners for Growth

Partners for Growth was launched in 2003 to provide small store format retailers with unbiased insights, data and advice that traditionally only larger retailers had access to.  The dedicated free advice was designed to help retailers make the right ranging and merchandising decisions for their store, and so help address the £1.2 billion in lost sales each year, simply because convenience shoppers couldn’t find what they were looking to buy.

 

Our advice is based upon robust national average sales data and shopper research from respected sources. This enables our category experts to provide unbiased, category fair ranging and merchandising recommendations that have shown can grow their sales by up to 42%, simply by relaying their fixtures in line with the recommendations.

 

Central to the trust that retailers place in the Partners for Growth programme is the impartial advice, that is unlike category recommendations from many manufacturers which is often focused on growing their specific branded sales only. Partners for Growth advice has always been unbiased, and designed to grow total category sales, not just those of an individual manufacturer. And its because of this that we continue to be endorsed by The Association of Convenience Stores.

 

Over the years, in addition to our unbiased category advice, we have evolved our offering to provide retailers with shopper mission and total store advice too. And with the introduction of our Retailer Advisory panel in 2009, we extended our offering further to provide retailers with unbiased retail and business advice from some of the best retailers in the business, who give their time freely because they support the purpose of the programme.

 

Nearly 20 years on, as we experience unprecedented changes in the way people shop it has never been more important to work with trusted partners to help retailers through these challenging times. Partners for Growth remains true to its initial purpose and continues to provide retailers with the latest up-to-date unbiased ranging and business advice that they can trust to help them meet the changing needs of today’s shoppers.
